Kathmandu: The host Bangladesh has set a 258-run target for Nepal in the second match of ACC Emerging Teams Cricket Tournament underway in Bangladesh.
Nepal won the toss and chose to field first. The Bangladeshi U23 team made 257 runs in the stipulated 50 overs at the loss of nine wickets. Bangladeshi Nasir Hussein crossed a century (109 runs) not out from 115 balls while Captain Mominul Haque scored 61 runs from 78 balls.
For Nepal, Abinash Karna took three wickets of the Bangladeshi team for 46 runs in eight overs.
Likewise, Sandip Lamichhane got two wickets for 41 runs whereas Mehabub Alam, Captain Gyanendra Malla and Dipendra Singh Airi each took one wicket.
Nepal must win the match to remain in the tournament. Earlier in the competition, Nepal was defeated by Pakistan by six wickets. Nepal will play against Hong Kong on Thursday.
