Birgunj: A massive fire has broken out at a cooking gas factory in Birgunj on Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out at the factory of Super Gas in Sukhasaina at around 6 am. It is still out of control.

At least five people have been killed and another three injured after a massive fire engulfed gas plant, police said.

Those deceased are yet to be identified, police said. Likewise, two of the three injured have been identified as Amika Prasad Patel, a staff at the Gas Industry and Sandip Nepal, a fire fighter. Both are undergoing treatment at Health Care Hospital, Birgunj.

Teams of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police have reached the site.
