Kathmandu: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has been declining continuously for the last three days.
The NEPSE index posted a double-digit fall of 17.83 points to close at 1,466,62 points Wednesday.
NEPSE index declined by 26.35, 3.04, and 8.97 points respectively from Sunday.
The sub-indices of all groups declined significantly today.
The sub-indices of insurance, hotel and hydropower group declined by the highest points of 135.05 points, 76.35 points and 28.25 points to close at 7,998.96 points, 2,184.36 points and 1,774.52 points respectively.
Likewise, the sub-indices of microfinance, development bank and commercial bank group went down by 21.58 points, 21.51 points and 14.38 points to stand at 1,737.20 points, 1,754.60 points and 1,253.01 points respectively.
Sub-indices of manufacturing, other and trading group declined by 3.21 points, 2.89 points and 3.63 points respectively.
The NEPSE registered transaction with 159 companies making the turnover around of Rs. 477 million with a total of 1,198,264 shares through 5,383 transactions.
The sensitive index which measures the index of group “A companies” decreased marginally by 3.90 points to close at 307.98 points on Wednesday.
