Kathmandu: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has posted a double-digit fall Tuesday.
The NEPSE index declined by 14.49 points to close at 1,493.76 points today. The sub-indices of all groups declined today.
Sub-indices of insurance, other and hotel group went down by 59.67 points, 36.44 points and 32.9 points to close at 7,721.54 points, 883.82 points and 2,128 points respectively.
Likewise, the sub-indices of microfinance, manufacturing and hydropower group went down by 20.23 points, 17.19 points and 14.46 points to close at 1,810.75 points, 2,562.40 points and 2,039.19 points respectively.
Sub-indices of commercial bank, development bank, finance and trading group also gone down by 7.36 points, 7.27 points, 4.07 points and 0.93 points respectively.
The NEPSE registered transaction with 166 companies making the turnover around of Rs. 599 million with a total of 1,405,971 shares through 5,192 transactions.
The sensitive index which measures the index of group “A companies” went down by 3.05 points to close at 314.75 points on Tuesday.
