Building and Construction Expo kicks off in capital

Kathmandu:  The Building and Construction Expo-2073, organized by Youth Community for Nepalese Contractors, kicked off at Bhrikutimandap in capital city from Friday.

 Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ramesh Lekhak inaugurated the four-day Exhibition which has a total of 150 stalls.

On display are quake-resilient bricks, furniture and furnishing, pipe and fitting, steel and rod, insurance company services, electric and electronic materials among others.

 Visitors can avail free information on the construction of the earthquake-resilient houses as well as the National Building Code put in place post-quake.

 On the occasion, FNCCI President Pashupati Murarka expressed his confidence that such exhibition would not let construction materials run short for the reconstruction drive.
