Chamber honours chief ministers of seven provinces

Kathmandu: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has honoured chief ministers of all seven provinces en-masse on Wednesday.

The NCC felicitated the chief ministers with the slogan of ‘Opportunities for economic prosperity in federal structure’.

On the occasion, chief ministers have committed to move ahead in coordination and cooperation with the private sectors for the economic prosperity of the country.

They said that there was no possibility to develop the country without having cooperation with the private sectors.

Chief Minister of Province No.1 Sherdhan Rai said that the country has moved to a path of prosperity following the completion of three-tire of election— local, state assembly and house of representative successfully.

Chief Minister of Province No.3 Dormani Poudel said that the time has begun to work instead of talking more.

NCC president Rajesh Kazi Shrestha drew the attention of the chief ministers to support the investors for investment in potential sectors in local levels.

“Investors are willing to invest where available more facilities. Investment will create jobs opportunities. Revenue will collect more where having more investment.

So, the provincial government should attract more investment in the area,” Shrestha said.

Stating that the potential of tourism, hydropower, agriculture, mine, and herbs are available in the provinces, he said the government should promote and invest in the sector where there are more potentiality.
