Kathmandu: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has posted a double-digit fall Wednesday.
The NEPSE index declined by 15.78 points to close at 1,440.29 points today. The sub-indices of all groups decreased significantly.
The sub-indices of insurance group decreased with highest points of 169.82 points to close at 7,457.63 points.
Likewise, the sub-indices of manufacturing, microfinance and hotel group went down by 27.89 points, 23.97 points and 20.28 points to stand at 2,506.80 points, 1,741.97 points and 2,152.57 points respectively.
Sub-indices of commercial bank, trading, development bank, hydropower finance and other groups decreased by 10.82 points, 0.84 points, 11.48 points, 7.94 points, 0.51 points and 7.44 points respectively.
The NEPSE registered transaction with 157 companies making the turnover around of Rs. 374 million with a total of 1,574,481 shares through 4,523 transactions.
The sensitive index which measures the index of group “A companies” decreased by 3.19 points to close at 303.68 points on Wednesday.
