Kathmandu: Minister for Communications, Information and Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota has said that the sustainable development goals (SDGs) would be fulfilled only through the partnership of the government and private sector.
At an interaction programme orgnaized by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) on paperless society and online job in the capital city on Monday, Minister Banskota said that the government was ready to co-work with the private sector to deliver the best of its capacity as per the people’s expectations.
Saying that the government has left no stone unturned to create investment-friendly environment, Minister Banskota said that the private sector also should make the information technology sector pro-people and should invest more by keeping the nation and people at centre.
He shared that government expects the students of all 29,000 community schools being able to handle computer adding that the government’s mission was somehow delayed due to skilled teachers, geographic remoteness and lack of infrastructure and electricity supplies.
On the occasion, President of FNCCI Bhawani Rana said that information and technology friendly development was the need of the hour.
