Kathmandu: Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) appointed Bikram Thapa Magar as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective from Thursday.
Thapa Magar was appointed in the post through a selection process which includes formal and informal interviews. The board of directors of TAAN made its final selection decision on November 25.
Thapa Magar has completed his Msc on field of Hospitality and Tourism Management from Sheffield Hallam University, UK Education Board.
Welcoming the new CEO TAAN President Nava Raj Dahal said – “We hope the organization will benefit greatly from his executive management skills, and his demonstrated commitment to promote and uplift Nepal’s tourism particularly trekking and serve the stakeholders.”
TAAN General Secretary Ang Pemba Sherpa congratulated new CEO and wished him for his successful tenure in office.
Thapa Magar commented, “I am very pleased to be joining TAAN and look forward to driving the development and execution of our corporate strategy going forward. In addition to the organization’s core goal, I intend to devote significant time and effort to pursue targeted goals of organization.”
